Bobcats close to trading Diaw, Chandler, aquiring Calderon

I've already talked about it some in other threads, but getting a pass-first PG and a quality back-up PF/C while dumping Chandler's money equals a big win for the Bobcats. They should have the money under the cap to add another player and will be able to use the MLE.

Calderon's previous 2 seasons though were much better than his last. His avg's were close to 12-13ppg and around 9 assists a game. He probably just had a down year.

We could then use the trade exception to possibly get Al Jefferson, since the Wolves want to trade him for basically nothing this would give them cap room and do just that.

What about a starting 5 of Jefferson-Thomas-Wallace-Jackson-Calderon and then DJ/Brown/Hendo/Nazr etc coming off the bench? I like this team and I honestly think it wold be a big improvement.

I suppose you mean Al Jefferson, if so what are you giving Minny to get him???

The Charlotte Bobcats are close to sending Boris Diaw and possibly Tyson Chandler to the Toronto Raptors in a three-way deal including the Phoenix Suns that would acquire point guard Jose Calderon and at least one other player, a source from one of the three teams involved confirmed.

who do you think the other player will be?

    • Bryce put it in a spot only his guy could get it only for David Moore to drop it. T_T Tremble and Horn both struggled yesterday and that killed me since they're two of my favourite players. Tommy knows he has to come down with this one. Folks were understandably saying that JT would've caught that had he not gotten hurt a few plays earlier. The more I look at this play, the more I think that Bryce made the right decision throwing it out the back of the endzone. He could have tried to laser it in to Thielen, but that safety is lurking awfully close inside. Insuring the field goal here after a 44sec drive to end the half was the right move.
    • Except Bryce was the main reason we were in it
    • NFL Pro has the All-22 up already 😄 Going to grab a play or two from each redzone series to put screenshots to. Looks like AT angled his route off to the near pylon rather than the back corner where Bryce was throwing to. I imagine this is something they'll quickly try to figure out with Thielen back from IR. After watching the All-22 again, this was actually a pretty nifty play. I thought it was a TE screen to Tremble because of the way XL charged the DB, but he quickly shed and kept upfield as seen in the second screenshot. This looks like it had multiple layers built into it with AT running the crosser, XL the fade, Tremble to the flat. The progression would call for the play to go to Chuba here as the LB does follow Tremble out into the flat. Ball hits Chuba low and in the hands, but the LB does a good job disrupting the catch.
