In the NBA there are less players, and great players can generally do everything on the court, they stand out easier, etc.

No doubt of that, but even considering that its true, the amount of hyperbole that one or two players receive is exceptional.

And the type or character of player is more important than the quality of the player. In the years when Duncan and company were winning championships, the NBA was supposedly down because Duncan wasn't flashy enough. But Lebron gets a lot more hype even though his teams have accomplished far less than Duncan's.

the NBA is a lost cause right now. the officiating is so incredibly wishy washy its unbelievable. i think the problem is the NBA is trying to desperately hold onto what they had in the 90's, which was a damn fine time for the NBA. so many contenders and so many all time greats. they NBA needs to lay off it's players, stop pushing people for stardom and just let the stars come to light in their own.

The great thing about the 90's is no one on the inside had officially outted the NBA about being fixed.

A lot of people knew it, they just didn't want to beleive it.

Regardless, at the end of the day it's about championships, the man wants to win he felt like he went to the best situation for him, move on haters. I can name plenty of great players that don't have a ring James wants one and will probably get one. The fakers, celtits, and tragic all have at least 3-5 use to be or current all-stars.

JP left, we were hurt, we move on, Cleveland has to do the same.

And the Cleveland owner is an idiot for saying all what he did

Seems like he would have a better shot going to a team like San Antonio or Utah. But I didn't keep up with it much, so not even sure if that was a possibility.

to me it's no question that the NFL is better for the fans. in the NBA, its about money n' bitches. In the NFL, it's about working to be the best and being a good teammate. One sounds like a little more fun though(in the player's eyes).

don't kid yourself. nfl players love their "money n' bitches" too...

Bullshit

Lebron ego is starting to become greater than Kanye West ego

He aired a damn special to gain more attention. He made this move to gain even more attention

I respect if he stayed in Cleveland and forced management to make moves in order to win one. You think Jordan would have went to Detroit with Isiah if he had a chance. Hell no

Nowadays in the NBA you have to be on a few select teams to win a NBA championship. With Lakers and Celtics having the best chances of winning a Championship. Lebron is an amazing talent, being tied for the best player in the NBA IMO.

I just didn't believe that he would ever win a Championship in Cleveland. I don't not like Cleveland, but they are truly cursed. And Lebron changing his jersey # should have been a big clue that he wasn't going to be in Cleveland next year.

I don't blame him for wanting to leave Cleveland, again nothing against them but that city isn't known for their sports.

Both the NBA and NFL are superior to the MLB were small market teams have ZERO chance.

Yankees Yankees Yankees and more Yankees.

Tampa Bay was in the World Series two years ago.

Colorado was in the World Series the year before that.

As of today the division leaders in Baseball are:

NY Yankees (1)

Detroit (6)

Texas (27)

Atlanta (15)

Cincinnati (20)

San Diego (29)

Those numbers represent each teams opening day payroll. If we average those numbers that would put the average payroll rank of the 6 division leaders at 16.33. There are 30 teams in baseball. So the division leaders average payrolls are LOWER the the average of the MLB overall.

Tampa & Colorado are anomalies, as soon as the talent is developed and either they are out of contention or FA comes there star players will be traded or leave via FA to one of the four major markets, I grew up a A's fan and scene this scenario play out time and time again.

Season is only half over, we'll see how it plays out, but teams like Cincy(20), San Diego(29) and Texas(27) only hold small leads over St.louis(12) Dodgers(11) and Angels (8)

So teams with the huge payrolls while not be leading currently are no more then 3-5 games back as the season stands now.

What's bullshit.... ? Who said anything about ego?(by the way what professional athlete doesn't have one) and the Jordan reference, it is a new league like I said before what legitimate team doesn't have 3-5 used to be or current all-stars on the roster.

The Suns just had a good run. Two all stars and a bunch of good role players alongside them. Look at Orl the previous year... it doesn't take for you to be all all-star'd out to win. The Cavs coulda beat Boston, we all seen game 3. Lebron did quit and some other internal problems happened

Lebron coulda went to NY with Amare and they would have been right there in contention. Its just that this move woulda gained more attention that any choice he woulda chose. So I dont buy wanting to win championships as the first reason for the move

And tonight further proved why

I hate L.A, but Kobe is like Zod to these dudes when you have to team up to win. Wow
