Tips for getting over this loss

Recommended Posts

I learned a long time ago to not dwell on losses...or even wins for that matter. Nothing good ever comes from letting things stew, I do my best to let it go and move on very quickly. I was over it this morning.

I did this after my feelings about football actually went so far as to affect my health. I decided enough was enough and have never had problems since.

Smart advice there, GTG. I'm doing the same thing too & now over it.

Yep. I was pretty much over it by midnight last night. After the Atlanta loss I have just been trying to put on a happy face and hope we would be able to keep it together for 60 minutes a week, but I knew it wouldn't last.

So I'm waking up this morning a bit hung over and a bit more bummed than I was even last night about this unexpected turn of events. I figured I'd start a thread for us fans who take this game a bit too seriously and are a little out of sorts today. Maybe one answer is to "take the game less seriously," but that's easier to say than do, so let's hear your suggestions. Here are mine (all of which I plan to do...well, except for the kids one):

1. Exercise. The greater the amount, and the greater the intensity the better (to a point -- don't give yourself a heart attack). Time to start that New Year's Resolution of getting in shape in earnest.

2. Take a bath. Seriously, we stink! Preferably after the exercise.

3. Project-time -- whether it's cleaning out your garage, organizing your CD collection, whatever, this is probably a GREAT day

4. If you have kids -- take them somewhere cool today.

Please share your own suggestions, I need stuff to take up a day that was intended to be spent watching football.

1. I'm with ya...Love my P90X....check

2. shower...check

3. get back to woodworking....check

4. too daughter to speedpark today...check.
