Bobcats in trade talks for Beasley

I would love CP3, but I can't believe NO giving him up for Beasley. Perhaps if we had some other pieces to swap, but I don't think it happens. While, I'm uneasy about getting Beasley if the trade happens; still up in the air according to CBS. Beasley was the second pick in the draft for a reason; he has all the physical tools to be a "beast" in the NBA he just needs his head on straight. Perhaps a season with Larry Brown could give him what he needs; that or he breaks under pressure from LB. Still giving the Cats, cap situation and lack of quality guys lining up to play in charlotte; trading for Beasley could be a homerun if he lives up to potential.

The Bobcats are said to be "highly motivated" to get Michael Beasley from the Heat.

A four-team trade is still in the works between the Bobcats, Heat, Raptors and Rockets appear to still be in talks of a deal that would land Beasley in Charlotte. But even if that deal falls through, you have to wonder if the Heat and Bobcats can work something out. And if Beasley is moved before 9 p.m., it's another sign that LeBron is leaning toward the Heat.

In my Own Word my CP8789

Ok I suspect a couple of things...

1. The Bobcats know something that we don't, and by that I mean they already know Tyrus Thomas will not be in a Bobcats uniform next year so they are trying furiously to get a replacement.

2. The Bobcats just want to take advantage of this golden oppurtunity to add Beasley and Jeffries to the roster.

3. The Bobcats are "highly motivated to acquire Beasley from the Heat so even if the first deal falls through I suspect there is a fall back deal in place. I am guessing a sign in trade for Raymond Felton (who they are very high on), or the Bobcats will give cash considerations to the Heat.

4. The Bobcats may know that Tyrus Thomas is leaving for the Nets and could possibly be preparing a sign and trade offer with the Nets. I could see it being for Devin Harris or Courtney Lee.

The Options (I'm guessing here)

1. Bobcats trade Tyson Chandler for Michael Beasley and Jared Jeffries.

2. Bobcats trade Tyson Chandler for Michael Beasley.

3. Bobcats trade Raymond Felton for Michael Beasley.

4. Bobcats trade Cass Considerations for Michael Beasley.

5. Bobcats trade for Michael Beasley and keep Tyrus Thomas.

6. Bobcats keep Tyrus Thomas

7. Bobcats lose Tyrus Thomas.

8. Bobcats trade Tyrus Thomas and Raymond Felton for Devin Harris.

9. Bobcats trade Tyrus Thomas for Courtney Lee.

10. Trade Falls through.

These are my speculations.

I would be very shocked if the nets traded Harris to the Cats, happy but shocked.

I am seeing something big for the Bobcats about to happen. We have Felton, TC, Diaw and unfortunately it seems Tyus Thomas all possible moves. If we can bring back a legit Center, PG and Beasley back i would be happy.

Don't forget about Nazr who has a expiring contract too. Him and Diaw's contracts are pretty friendly and a team may take them on to have money next year to go after Carmelo or someone.

I hate to lose Tyrus, since he's essentially a first rounder, but if we get someone equivalent or close in return and lets us make other moves, let's do it. We all love Tyrus and his energy but we need to win. We need playoffs 2 years in a row to get the city following this team and I'm afraid if we don't do it this next season it'll go back to the old ways. The East just got massively better so we need to do something.

The Heat and Raptors have expanded discussions of the sign-and-trade sending Chris Bosh to Miami to include two more teams, Charlotte and Houston, two people with knowledge of the talks told CBSSports.com Thursday. The trade, which is still exploratory and not close to completion, would send Bosh to Miami, Michael Beasley to Charlotte and Tyson Chandler to Houston, the sources said. Toronto, already settled on taking back the 2011 first-round pick previously traded to the Heat, is trying to extract a player from the Rockets in addition to the trade exception it would get from Miami. "It has legs, but I don't know where it goes," one of the people familiar with the discussions said.

I'm happy that MJ and our team wasn't content on going into the season with no upgrades (Panthers). Regardless of what happens, I know we'll try out best and that DOES count for something. Something that helps us NOW AND in the FUTURE would be nice but even getting us in good shape for the future I'd be OK with.

http://probasketballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/07/heat-near-deal-to-move-beasley-sign-that-lebron-to-miami-no-smokescreen.php

At this point in the funhouse of mirrors that are the rumors of LeBron James' next move, reality has been hard to tell from dead ends and distorted reflections. Everything, every reaction looked like it could be the way out.

But this afternoon, one tangible piece of evidence came though -- the Heat are working very hard, and are very close apparently, to trading Michael Beasley.

That is evidence LeBron is headed to South Beach. More than the reports from multiple sources. More than the booked cabanas at the W Hotel in South Beach for a LeBron James party. More than anything.

Miami needs to move Beasley if it wants to give LeBron, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh all max deal money. And Miami wants to give them max money. The fact they are busting this hard to get it done is a sign.

Ideally, the Heat would like to give Bosh a sign-and-trade max deal -- six years and $127 million. Same thing they can give Wade because they have his Bird-rights. LeBron would have to get by on a regular max deal, somehow.

But they have to move Beasley to make it happen. Apparently Charlotte wants Beasley -- they are in a good position to take a risk on potential, to hope that concerns about his next contract get him to play to his strengths and not coast through games.

Miami had tried to move Beasley for weeks, but the desperation at this time is telling.

The big three can come to Miami even if Beasley is still there, they just have to each do it for $1 million less a year and only five-year deals. But the Heat want their guys happy -- all max guys.

It doesn't mean LeBron to Miami is a sure thing. Nothing is a sure thing in this wildest of free agent periods.

But this is a sign, a real sign. And it points straight to Miami

Sounds like this is serious, we could get him for peanuts.

do ya'll think we want him, or want him for trade bait? We are stacked at PF, we get Beasley and ship him off with someone to upgrade the PG or C position. This seems most logical to me. Id take TT over beasley's "potential."

Overall were better off with Beasely more-so than Chandler.

Trade-bait or Team Material.
