I'm not going to lie -- I shed a couple tears in the office this morning. I know my life is about to change drastically, but I'm looking forward to it.

Any advice is appreciated.

I haven't even told anyone yet, because I'm waiting for her to get back from the beach. But I had to tell someone.

Best advice I can give is plan a weekend for you and the wife, before she gets too big and uncomfortable.

Then plan a weekend for just you, preferably when she is huge and grumpy.

Then go buy a minivan.

Thanks, that's good advice. We do have a few trips planned this summer and fall, so we'll make the most of them. One of the trips was a beer festival, so I guess she won't be going there (or at least drinking).

But as I said in another thread, I'll be looking into station wagons, not minivans.

Congrats... our baby is coming any day now...due date is 2 weeks away on tuesday... and the nursery still isn't completely finished yet... f*ck

Word of advice, if you want to remodel the baby's new room, start early. Because time will keep getting taken away from you.

I'm not a father, but one of my co-workers is. The day he found out his wife was pregnant he started buying diapers. Said he did it twice a month or so.
