If Dan takes a TE at 8 it will be the downfall of his career. Book it.

You know how I feel

lines make pro football

build from front back

DC typically says the same glowing things about every one of top candidates

I could see him doing it as the guy can block, catch, run but he will go defense

I think the XL, Brooks picks already started that process.  He needs to absolutely crush this draft to avoid any heat in upcoming future

This… And exactly why it has to be BPA. This team needs an all-pro or 3 to rise from the ashes.

The beauty of an all pro player is that it really doesn’t matter what position they play. They are game breakers, and raise the entire level of play for the team. They make the game changing plays on their own. They know how to close a game out.

These are the guys who go in the first 2 rounds. Teams that draft on need will whiff on game breakers most of the time. They reach. The Panthers way.

This team last year. Imagine if Luvu stayed and we had drafted a DUDE edge player to pair with Clowney and lucked out on a gem safety, all while Horn stays healthy. The complexion is entirely different with only a few pieces.

Disagree about taking Warren. Warren is one of the few blue chippers at the top of this draft and I'm fine with the pick if they pull the trigger.

agreed. his skillset would really open up a lot of things. really could use him in any position, but as a TE he's what a team needs and wants.

Certified DAWG. Don't pass up on a solid football player just because of their position... that's like passing up on a player because of their school (Ohio State QBs, anyone?).

Would be very happy with the selection. The dude can block, he can catch, he can run folks over.

No, no he is not a blue chip player. No TE has ever made the difference for a team. He would not add a single win to the teams win total. Fixing the defense can add 4 to 5 wins to this teams win total. I will stand by that.

Uh, you forget about those Pats teams that won with just basically Gronkowski? Kelsey? Tony Gonzalez? Antonio Gates? Witten? Olsen? Wesley Walls? All were at the very least difference makers and did add wins to their teams. A lot of those guys were also the #1 option for their teams too instead of some WR.

Agree to disagree.  The Pats won due to Brady not his TE's. Kelsey owes his success to Mahomes as he couldn't do anything otherwise. The rest didn’t help put their teams over the top either. So no, a 1st round TE is not what puts a team in a position to win. Its defense and a run game.

And most recently, I'm pretty sure if you ask Raiders fans about Bowers, they'd say he's a difference maker and was more than worth the pick too.
