QB was the only 4th biggest need for the team after DT, WR, and DE. It wasnt the biggest need by any means. As I stated before I would have been ok with drafting Claussen only if there was nothing better at our most critical needs available. Our DT depth is pure poo and our WR depth is very questionable. The panthers had pretty good QB DEPTH the last 2 years they just didnt have a very good starter. We have a good starter now. Our depth would have been just fine after we took Pike in the 6th round. Apparently everyone is very high on Hunter Cantwell which makes the Claussen pick look even more silly.

No one is high on Hunter Cantwell but the Charlotte Observer. I can't help but wonder if their department is so butthurt over maybe not being able to talk to Moore or Clausen regularly that all they choose to spout about is a third-string quarterback (yes, a third string quarterback, Observer. Not a backup quarterback. He will not be 2nd string in preseason. For. Get. It.) and Darin Gantt's mancrush. I'd like to see an in-depth interview with Clausen. Or a Q&A with LaFell. It seems like he's the forgotten man these days. He may end up being our best rookie. Wouldn't surprise me.
