Matt Moore is having a Great Summer

Recommended Posts

Golden Tate went exactly where people expected he would. Jimmy Clausen went a full round late. To act like there was better value there is simply not factual. Carolina needed a QB (without arguing over whether they will be a backup or starter) and got arguably the best value in the draft.

Let's keep this in perspective - the Rams were working out Clausen ten days before Draft Day as one of the final four #1 prospects.

So what? The rams worked out everybody. Maybe they thought about taking suh in the 1st and claussen in the 2nd. There was no chance they considered him first overall. And tate was projected to go in the 1st

And I stand by every word that I said in that thread. BUT clauSen was not the best option when we were picking, golden tate and terrance cody were. Had they been off the board I would have had no problem with that pick. Got anything else you wanna pull out? I know you have saved every one of my posts lol

Terrance Cody does not fit meeks scheme and the panthers had their minds set on finding the next moose at WR

Hollis thomas didnt fit the scheme either but our run defense improved alot when they signed him. They still could have had Lafell in the 3rd round plus Golden Tate AND still have their 2nd round pick next year.

Truth is that there were very few wide receivers ahead of LaFell at the end of 2008. It wasn't his fault that he didn't have anyone to throw the ball to him last year. He has the size and athleticism to be a great receiver. I expect big things from him in the future. He was a great pick in the third.

Can you at least learn how to spell Clausen correctly if you're gonna keep this stupid argument up?

You have to overlook this troll called fine young maleBob,he is not to bright,in other words just another "DumbAzz". :)

golden tate would have been nice, but i think that one day, claussen is going to be the best QB ever to play for the panthers, and besides, i have high hopes for armanti edwards being almost as good as golden tate, and he can also do things that tate cannot, such as be a wild-cal QB, and, given his smaller size, will probably be a better returner too. i think the FO did a great job.

FWIW: Golden Tate did take snaps from shotgun in wildcat last year. Notre Dame actually ran lots of wildcat as a way to disguise their traditional passing attack. It culminated last year with Tate (or another receiver, can't remember) took the snap in Wildcat with Clausen at split end. Ran the traditional option left and pitched the ball to Clausen who hit wide open Michael Floyd in the end zone with a bomb against Stanford.

Meeks scheme needs speed at the least a guy that can move.Thomas could move well for a guy his size.Cody not so much.

I think it just moved.
