Matt Moores sucess this year will prove that Jimmy Claussen was a waste of a perfectly good draft pick.

Its never a bad thing to have two QB's that can play on the roster. Lets hope the Panthers have that problem.

There were other options out there in free agency like DA and Marc Bulger that could have dont just fine if Matt Moore went down. I would rather have a Terrence Cody to shore up our pathetic dline than a 3rd string QB with our first pick.

Marc Bulger is just about done, and Terrence Cody is even less of a proven commodity than Louis Leonard. At least with Clausen, the Panthers have some trade value for the future if Matt Moore ends up being the man.

But who knows how Jimmy Clausen will be...I have a feeling next year that matt moore will have a less then stellar season and clausen will come in and look good...but what the *** do I know?

31 teams did not pass on Clausen, half of those teams already have established QBs or have recently acquired QBs. And the teams that passed on him, the Browns, Bills and Raiders, ill take the scouting department in Carolina any day over those teams.

Hell, 32 teams passed on Tom Brady 5 times over, while guys like Ryan Leaf, Joey Harrington, David Carr, and JaMarcus Russell got all the hype the big bucks. Who would you rather have on your team right now though?

No 31 teams did in fact pass over him. Go look at the draft board if you dont remember. And maybe half the teams in the league are actually set at QB.

Exactly. So why not wait until we see how both Clausen and Moore play this year (and in the years to come) before deeming them a wasted pick?
