What is offensive about any word? It's all about the people it refers to and their offense scale, I guess. N****r is just a variation of *****, right? Why has it become the N bomb? The word thug used to mean criminal. Howard Cosell once called Mike Tyson a thug on national TV. Now you use it on this board and black people hear something quite different. People tend to hate the words that others use to dehumanize them. Women hate the C word. Gay people hate the F word. Falcon fans hate the word moron.
