Some dude ripping Vick a new one for fun

but I know regardless of whether KT does or not, if Larry Bird owned the Charlotte Bobcats he wouldn't give a damn about them.

.

Yes because Jerry Richardson is a black man, and thats the only reason I root for the Panthers. And that George Shinn fellow, he's black too, thats why me and my family were Hornets fans when they were here.

Matter fact until the Bobcats I wasnt even a sportsfan. You see there were no black owners, so I couldnt possibly be one. DUMB DUMB DUMB.

But we have had more in our history than we have had black QBs. So the Panthers can find white wideouts and make them "fan faves" but apparently there are no good black QBs out there. Patrick Jeffers (who we gave a HUGE ass contract to), Don Beebe in our first year (made sure we had 1 in year 1), and Ricky Proehl are 3 white wideouts we've had on roster and contributed to our team. We may have had more. Jeffers was a pro bowler 1 year, and Proehl was "Mr.3rd down" for us in our Super Bowl year. You guys name practice squaders, I name guys who started, who were given huge contracts, and who were celebrated amongst our fanbase as "underdogs".

There are 2-3 WR's on the field a lot of the time, and only one QB. Also, there are more WR's on the depth chart than QB's. This, coupled with less good black QB's available in drafts, as well as the reluctance of the Panthers to draft 105105 QB's in the draft, is the reason.

Your argument is stupid and baseless, and if you're really dumb enough to believe the garbage you just posted here, it's sad :nonod:

Nice try, Cottard.

Scot you can throw all the insults and name calling you want. Doesnt change the fact you have low self esteem about yourself. The way you shortchange black kids about their intelligence and ability is sad considering you're the self proclaimed "voice of reason". Just because there are black men out there smarter and more intelligent than you isnt any reason to be down on yourself so much.

Its not college coaches fault the Panthers wont draft or develop a black QB. You dont see Tampa, ATL, or New Orleans blaming college coaches for their hangs up about race. Panthers dont want the black man in their QB stable, not even as a backup. All white is alright in Carolina. .... Black kids gotta be "Warren Moon" (a HOFer), white kids gotta be "Chris Weinke", "Stefan Lefors", "Jeff Lewis" to be a QB here. Some people need more help and a curve than others to succeed I guess. LOL.

then maybe, in order to please you we should just announce edwards as starting QB and give him 32 games and no matter how bad he plays just keep him in there, and then that'll please you for about 20 minutes before you find something else to make assumptions about and cry prejudice against to fuel your own racial insecurities.

The situation wont improve as long as you have franchises like ours that dont believe in a blackman's brainpower or ability

only if franchise reps ever chatted with you and (wrongly) thought all black people are as jaded and oblivious as you are

I can't really understand this whole racism thing.

The statue of Sam Mills kind of disproves any discrimination accusations.

It shows that the franchise doesn't consider QB anymore important than another position. Sam Mills didn't need to be a QB to get a statue.

Sam Mills was also black obviously. Seems kind of odd for them to erect a big statue of a black person. Especially the first statue.

So if a black guy that wasn't a QB got that much respect it seems like they aren't racist or that they consider QB to be the face of the franchise.

Also if they were racist why would they even try to do that through the players? Players come and go, for a lot of owners they're just pawns. If I was a racist owner I would be more racist about the management and coaches. Being racist about the players wouldn't be worth it.

But they weren't drafted, which is your argument of whether we believe in certain players or not. I guess it depends on your definition of fan favorite because I was mad that I couldn't find a Rodney peete jersey after week 2 of 2002.

Oh, there are black men out there who are smarter than me. I have no problem with that.

You, however, are not one of them

Frankly, you're likely one of the least intelligent people of any color that I've ever encountered. If you were smarter, perhaps you'd be able to actually debate something factually instead of constantly relying on false accusations and playing the race card. That's really the only thing you ever have to offer.

The sad truth is you don't actually care about fixing the real problems these young black kids face. If you did, you'd actually be interested in how colleges are shortchanging black QBs. But no, all you really want is attention for yourself. That's why you throw out stupid crap like this instead of discussing the actual substantive issues. And in this, we see again why no one takes you seriously.

And why you lose...again

(so long, Cottard)

PS I wasn't serious about my other post in this thread. Look the deal is that no matter who is playing qb, wr, or whatever else, I've got their back if they've got the panther logo on their jersey. I might cringe when I see them play (see weinke, carr, Lewis, Shelton, colbert, fasani, etc)

That is rediculous... you need to get off the mugambo.... Malcom, is that you?

I don't understand the argument (it seems like arguing for the sake of doing it)- we've had a black QB start for us. It would be different if there were 16 starter-quality QBs out there, but there aren't. So arguing that we don't have something that isn't available is quite childish.

Answer this question truthfully, and without contingencies- would you trade our best black player (for me, D-Will) for the best black QB out there (for me, McNabb)?
