Who Makes the Team???

Recommended Posts

I like players at two positions that are the most open to bringing in new talent.

PG- Dennis Clemente

Sherron Collins

PF- Alade Aminu

Along with the guys we have been grooming.

Gerald Wallace, Alexis Ajinca, and Derrick Brown

I am expecting to see Boris Diaw and Tyson Chandler moved by the deadline giving us a depth chart of

PG- DJ, Vet by trade or FA, Collins or Clemente

SG- Jax, Hendo,

SF- G, Brown

PF- TT, Vet by trade, Alande Aminu

C- Nzar, Diop, Ajinca

Its a toss-up between him and Flip Murray, who has expressed interest in returning to Charlotte. Personally I'd rather have Flip.

When LB was asked about Flip after the season, he started talking about Hughes. Hughes is a better defender than Flip and we know LB values defense.

If an expiring contract is attractive to another team because they can get out of $12Mm next year, then why is not just as attractive to us ?

Because there's still no big-name free agents willing to sign here. If we can get back productive players and maybe have some cash left over to sign a role player, then we do it. Besides, who are we starting at PG? Augustin? I think not. One of Chandler, Nazr, or Diaw will get us a PG, another may bring a quality back-up, and the other a decent center. One guy I could see us bringing in is Andris Biedrens. Injured last year, but a true center that averages a double-double per 36min. Diaw would give Golden State a similar contract that comes off the books earlier (two years, I think). If Biedrens is healthy, then he's more than worth the money.
