Almost never happens, and when it does, it is related to life SAVING procedures, not bad planning or "birth control".

On a serious note, can you imagine the guilt you would fill if your life was saved at the expense of your child?

It just seems like if this was performed on a 26 week old fetus/baby that it could be born or cut out and given a chance for survival. A lot of babies are born very early and survive. I had never heard of the procedure until last night and it was just a shock.
