Fire the whole defensive staff?

But what about this... I'm not sure where I had read it (it may have been from a post-Panthers Kris Jenkins rant), but I heard somewhere that there was a lot of confusion on who was actually making the calls defensively. Some say that last year when we were having all the problems, Fox took over the defensive play calling and was doing things like taking over the defensive meetings and essentially minimizing Turdo's presence.

If this is the case, then does Fox go? Or is it that he just needs to bring in a guy defensively he can trust? Because there is no question in my mind that Turdo is done. I think due to Fox's loyalty Turdo has just been a sort of hood ornament for the defense, which is fitting because their IQs are equal.

Also, Lewis should very much be on the hot seat if Trgo is. Our secondary backslid like crazy and pretty much got worse every game. By the end of the season our secondary was as big (or bigger) a concern as our DLine.

Part of that is on the DLine for sure, but not all of it.

Marshall and Lucas regressed, Gamble got a little better.

Harris was his normal self and Godfrey is a rookie, so gets a pass for flaking out late.

I can't agree with firing Sunseri, not given the development of Tyler Brayton and Charles Johnson. Kemo's adapted pretty well too.

The more I think about it, the more I feel the only defensive coach I can get behind tossing is Trgovac.

I doubt Sunseri is in any kind of trouble barring a huge coaching change. Kemo and especially Lewis are rotational guys, Brayton was decent, Peppers was good. I think he did the best with what he had.

I also forgot to mention

Fox is the head coach, ex defensive coordinator. He knows about defense. He approved of Mike coaching style on defense and made no attempts to change it. Defense been going down hill since the bye. No adjustments. People knew it was going to stay the same in the playoffs, and hurt us. The FANS even know, but not the coaches? Thats a huge problem. So if Mike goes, does that mean Fox should to?

I'm starting to think this coaching staff worries only about the record. Record is fine, everything stay the same. L's start piling, then things gotta change
