I was watching X-Play and they showed a video of this game, which is currently in Alpha. It looked pretty cool, but I had no idea about what the actual gameplay was about. So I found this link that explains a good bit about it.

hmm kinda looks like Fallout meets CrimeCraft meets Parkour-esqe Prototype...

I've seen conflicting reports on the release date. I've seen Fall 2010 and Spring 2011. Hopefully it's the former.

It's definitely Spring 2011. They just pushed it back.

But yeah, it does look interesting.

I'm looking forward to this game if it turns out how they want it to. Reminds me alot of TF2 with the various classes but with some actual customization of your character.

8 player co-op..nice. I hope Resistance 3 will be out some next year.

Not many reviews out now...this one is definitely the harshest I've read. I've seen scores ranging from 6-8.

Yeah I have seen nothing redeeming in the trailers. Looks like Team Fortress 2 with marginally improved graphics.

I saw a bunch of youtubers play it.. It just looked like a hassle to play. the singleplayer seems to be multiplayer esque objectives. And frankly that can't be good. I'm pretty sure until BF3 comes out, there will be no new FPS worth getting brand new.

I had this pre-ordered from Gamestop, but all the bad reviews got me thinking I'll return it tomorrow since I didn't even unwrap it yet. I'll keep the receipt for the pre-order goodies, of course.

That's why I don't generally preorder games, unless I'm pretty sure I'm going to like it...like BF 3, which I have preordered.

It's a shame about this game, it had so much potential.

So whats the final verdict on Brink. Lots of player reviews say it is not as bad as reviewed. Players seem happy with multiplayer.
