Carolina Panthers 2010 Roster/Depth Chart

maybe... I understand that Meek's scheme features the will heavily, but one of the more important aspects of it as well is the ability for the mike to drop into coverage frequently and effectively. Beason provides that in a way connor simply cannot. I think 75% chance is a bit strong given we haven't even seen TC yet. I think the LB lineup will end up being Anderson SS, Beason MLB, Williams WS.

That is 56 guys but it gives us a good look of the top guys going into camp. By the end all of this could change and obviously a few of the guys listed will end up on the practice squad.

i like it except i would take off hilee taylor, landry, and ivy.

i'd also be tempted to replace rashawn jackson off and replace his spot with Oline depth.

also it's a bit dangerous to put tony pike on the PS instead of hunter cantwell even though i think cantwell is better. pike is the most likely to get picked up off the PS, imo. still i would rather have hunter under center than pike at this point.

Brayton will start at DE, he's been our most reliable besides Peppers. And Goodson will not get cut, we used a 4th round pick on him and he's better then Sutton.

Our you out of your mind? Goodson can't even hold on to the damn ball. He practically gives the damn pigskin to the other team.

Sutton only had 12 rushing attempts last year and he gained 68 yards. Where Goodson had 22 attempts and only gained 49 yards.

Adrian Peterson cant hold on to the ball, so should the Vickings get rid of him? And you are ready to abandon ship on Goodson after 22 carries, seriously? Then you just wasted a 4th round pick. How about, we let them figure it out in preseason, then you can comeback and tell me I was right when Goodson is on the team.

Sutton is a smart, dependable player. Goodson is a high risk/high reward player. Goodson was not effective as a KR, something we hoped would happen. He has potential as a slot WR, something I think they are going to experiment with this year in our 4 WR sets.

I think he sticks, but will not dress unless he becomes a factor on Special teams. The argument about keeping him because he was a fourth rounder? What round was Ryne Robinson drafted in? Same thing. No KR, no play.

He sucks he sucked in college and he is going to suck in the NFL!!! Also who gives a damn about a 4th round pick. It wouldn't be the first time a 4th round pick didn't turn out.

Here is a quick Carolina Panthers history lesson

4th Round Draft Pick's

1995- Frank Garcia/ Center (Banned for testing positive of an illegal substance)

1996- Norberto Davidds-Garcia/ Guard (Punched Kerry Collins in the face)

1996- Emmanuel McDaniel/ Defensive Back (He's clean, and an alright football player)

1997- Tarek Saleh/ Linebacker (Only played two seasons in the NFL)

1998- Donald Hayes/ Wide Receiver (One of the better choice's, but he was cut by the Toronto Argonauts a CFL team)

1999- Hannibal Navies/ Linebacker (He never ammounted to anything in the NFL)

2000- Alvin McKinley/ Defensive Tackle (He only played one season for the Panthers)

2001- Chris Weinke/ Quarterback (Heisman trophey winner Chris Weinke led the Carolina Panthers to their worst record in team history at 1-15)

2002- Dante Wesley/ Defensive Back (Decent player but he had issues of his own, Wesley settled for a cheap contract with the Lions instead of returning to Charlotte, and he knocked the sh*t out of Clifton Smith which resulted in a one game suspention)

2003- Colin Branch/ Safety (He was a good pick)

2004- The Panthers did not have a 4th rounder

2005- Stefan LeFors/ Quarterback (He amounted to nothing in the NFL and now plays in the CFL)

2006- Nate Salley/ Safety (I don't even know where he is anymore)

2007- Ryne Robinson/ Wide Receiver (He was injured then waived by the Panthers, Robinson never really contributed)

2008- The Panthers did not have a 4th rounder

2009- Mike Goodson/ Running Back (He had issues with his coaches at Texas A&M and was fined 7,500 for making a throat slashing jesture in a Panthers preseason game)

2009- Tony Fiametta/ Full Back (He has some big shoes to fill)

2010- Eric Norwood/ Linebacker (We'll See, he looks promising)

My point is just because you are a 4th round draft pick does not mean you are going to make the roster. This is not highschool football anymore there is no such thing as seniority. The best players make the team and right now Sutton is a better player.
