Yep. Henry meets us at the door with a toy or pillow or couch cushion. Never fails. The chihuahua meets us with a sock or underwear. It doesn't have to be a real animal.

Cats do the same thing. Phoebe has brought me mice several times. She won't kill it until she shows it to me and plays with it.

Critter control guy said it was squirrels...im thinking the same thing. Must be a roof rat, but it sounds like a fuging dog up there.

Anyway, a squirrel paid for the sins of his brother varmints today. Wasnt a clean kill. he flopped off into the neighbors yard. I really felt bad about it, but they are chewing the fug out of my house. You can hear them gnawing the poo out things in the attic and walls.

btw, they do make .22 ARs. But i went with the .177.
