Vick's co-defendent shot @ Vick's Bday party

If he admits to Federal crimes, Why not admit to state and local charges? Federal law carries more weight then state law.

The Feds and the State have different cases against him with different juries, different laws and different penalties. If he does time for the federal charges, that does not count against time for the state/local charges. The state was waiting for the federal case to conclude before they went after him.

On the whole grammar thing. If you want to be taken seriously in a discussion, learn how to speak/write the language. While it may not be correct, poor grammar detracts from your arguments and causes people to perceive them as less intelligents. <-- That was intentional...

Before 8 pages of derailment, I called it. I knew once more and more details came out on this shooting, the closer to Vick it would get. Dude's NFL career is gonna be f*cked, if not outright freedom.

Lying to police is probably enough to get him in trouble with the league (Roddy White will face some scrutiny over that too).

All his lawyer's posturing looks really ignorant now. I wonder what he'll come out and say to save face.

Any sort of league penalty, even a minor onr, might be just the excuse that the Eagles need to say bye-bye. And with what's hanging over him, I'm not sure anyone else will pick him up. People will say the Raiders, but Al Davis is reportedly a dog enthusiast, so that avenue might be closed too.

What's conclusively shown here, yet again, is one thing:

Vick is dumb. Uber dumb. Mega dumb. Jethro Bodine dumb. Can't-find-his-butt-with-both-hands-and-a-flashlight dumb. At this point, you could probably argue that part of his motive for killing dogs was jealousy that they had more brains than he does.

He's not missing anything.

You said Vick never admitted to killing dogs, when he did just that. I really think you're the one missing the point here.

Nope...Your clearly missing my point on purpose. He plead guilty to ALL charges against him in court. But in every interview I've seen he said he gambled but didn't kill any dogs. His lawyer probably told him to just take the plea deal. But He says he never killed his own dogs personally. He bet on them But didn't personally kill them. Ya'll just want to find a reason to hate him and hang on to it. I guess it only matters what he ws convicted if not what he actually did

No, he plended. Or was it pledged? I'll have to look back at your posts and check.

Mods, can we get the Vick filter going again? It's the offseason and we need the laughs.

I humbly suggest "Jethro Bodine" as a substitute. It'd be wholly appropriate.

You think I care how you, random internet person, perceive me? Thats a good joke. And it would be nice if one of these Admin's unlocked my edit button like the rest of you seem to be able to do. Then, You won't get to bitch and moan about my poor grammer.

If the state was waiting the charge him.... When are they going to do it? He served time for his federal charges. Not state animals abuse, which is 6 monthes to a year in jail. So your saying his Fed charges only equal up to a year without some sort of plea deal??

And you believe him? "Well Mildred. He said he didn't do it, so it must be true." Which do you think is more reliable, a signed confession on federal court documents, or an interview with some local tv personality?

I really don't get how anyone could be a Vick apologist at this point, and this goes for either one of them. They have shown time and time again that they are selfish and arrogant, believe they can do anything they want, and then straight up lie to your face when they get called out on it. How many times do you have to stick your finger in the fire before you learn that it's hot?

It's not just me, it's everyone involved in the discussion. By the way...it's grammar, not grammer.

"Vick agrees and stipulates that these dogs all died as a result of the collective efforts of Peace, Phillips and Vick."

Except that one, apparently.

This would probably be a good time for you to cut your -- already more than substantial -- loss of dignity and walk away from this battle.

Yep.

According to the statement, Vick also was involved with the others in killing six to eight dogs that did not perform well in testing sessions in April. The dogs were executed by drowning or hanging.

Some details in these reports that could be major trouble for Vick:

Virginia Beach police take new look at Vick after shooting

Bernstein confirmed that on Tuesday police obtained a surveillance video from the club that, according to news reports, shows Vick and his entourage left just minutes before the shooting.

Vick's lawyer, Larry "Woody" Woodward, said Friday that Vick left the club long before the shooting. Party attendee and former Falcons teammate Roddy White insisted the same.

Complicating matters: The shooting victim has been identified by media outlets as Quanis Phillips, a co-defendant in the case that sent Vick to prison for 18 months on gambling and dogfighting convictions.

Several reports indicate that Phillips might have been ejected from the establishment, the Guadalajara , after causing a disturbance at the party, although a spokesman for the Guadalajara disputed those reports.

More details on shooting after Vick's Birthday bash

Fabijan said time-stamped video shows the party crowd of approximately 300 exiting the restaurant as requested by security at 1:45 a.m., Friday. Vick and his entourage walked out the door between 1:55 and 2 a.m.

Vick, a Philadelphia Eagles quarterback from Newport News, stood outside the establishment until 2:07 shaking hands and signing autographs. He then got into the backseat of one of two cars parked in front of the restaurant.

At 2:10, shots rang out from the direction the two cars had traveled. Fabijan stressed that he is not saying Vick was involved in the shooting that wounded Quanis Phillips, a party attendee and a co-defendant of Vick's in the federal dogfighting case that sent both men to prison.
