Jail help

I'm trying to understand the motivation for the question.

Is this guy a lover or something? Owes you money? poos golden eggs?

If that many people are not concerned about him sitting in prison wtf do you care? I'd not even bother with asking the "what-if's" about posting bond for him, if the "why would I" is unanswerable.

I asked because I wanted to know.

No. Owes my friend money. No.

I don't care what happens to him. My friend cares, and I care about her. She's at a rally by herself, and needed/needs him to help her. I couldn't go help her set up, so I wanted to know the repercussions of what would happen if one of us got him out and he didn't show up for court.

He's not in prison, he's in a county jail.

It doesn't matter now, anyway. She has the guys from 81 helping her tonight during the storms and SI helping her some tomorrow. Someone posted his bail, and it wasn't either of us, so I don't really care.

A bailbondsman basically gives you a chance to "borrow" the bail money for a slight fee, usually 10 points. He/she puts up the full bail and you only have to put down a small portion, which is typically non-refundable.

From what I gather, legally the bailbondsman is the responsible for getting the guy to court, but he will definitely harrang and possibly demand money from whoever gave him the "deposit."

His mom won't do it, his friend won't do it. My friend can't do it. And I don't want to do it. I told my friend if she did get someone to do it, she was a dumbass. His mom won't even do it, what does that tell you?

What happens if one of us does post his bail, and then he doesn't show up for his court date? Would I be in trouble if I was the one who posted his bail?

If you post his bail then your responsible and have to pay the $1000. If a done by a bondsman then there responsible for him showing up to court. You would only play a portion with a bondsman. Thats why you hire them. IMO he must be trouble cause most of the time they let people go on a PR bond. Or in simple terms they let him out on the promise he will show up. If he dose not show for court a Bench warrant is signed.

81? SI? Is this some kind of code trying to tell us that Terrell Owens is in trouble and Sports Illustrated is in on it? How does your friend know Owens? I'm not buying any of this.
