i dont know... i have always respected big ben's ability as a QB. he threw for 500 yards one game last season, and he has 2 rings, the last ring he won, he was a big reason why the steelers won. he plays good in big games. i dont really think he is a top 5 player in the league, but he is definately a top 5 QB. he has a big arm, and he can make plays with his feet as well.

Top 10, maybe, top 5 no way.

Manning 1

Brees

Rivers

Brady

Rodgers

That is the top 5.

Unfortunately, it's not in list form. 4 Panthers made the list, Jordan Gross at #51, Deangelo Williams at #48, Jon Beason at #42, and Steve Smith at #27. Former Panther Julius Peppers came in at #23. Top 5 were Peyton Manning, Brees, Brady, Big Ben, and Chris Johnson.

Something is telling me Johnson's going to get injured, or not have as much of a season this year as he did last year. He's already complaining about his contract which means he may not have that much motivation

IMO its only makes plays with his feet.

Big Ben's strategy for the game, use my 260lbs behemoth frame to hold off defensive ends and throw the ball to Hines Ward (who's like the 20th best receiver in the league.) 10 seconds after the ball was snapped.

Then he uses that behemoth frame to pin girls down.

And the 05 ring was from the Steeler's D and an okay

running game.

Am I just a hater, or do I really disagree with the fact that Chris Johnson is dubbed the best back in the league (according to this list and most damn "analysts")? Sure, he broke a record. Sure, a ton of yards on the ground. But the guy goes down on initial contact. He's not an up the middle, get 4 yards when you need it most type of back. That's what I expect the best RB in the league to be. Dependable for a 4 yard gain or a 90 yard gain. His best two games last year came against Jacksonville (reeeaaal impressive...) and Houston (slightly more respectable, but not by much). Majority of his yardage came on runs to the outside. He's quick, speedy, and shifty. But if you get a finger on him he falls. I just watched the NFL Replay of the Miami/Tennessee game. He was getting dropped every time he got touched.

All I'm saying is, if Deangelo gets 1,800 yards+ this year (which isn't necessarily far fetched, even if he does only average 16-20 carries a game) he better be named the league's best back. Because apparently, numbers determine greatness, not being a complete player.
