I was surprised by this pick but I see good things coming from Norwood in his Panther career

I watched Norwood at SC for the past couple of years. he was a beast for the gamecocks, especially in primetime games. I like the pick and think he'll have a good career here.

I love how we're not sitting around waiting for the day before training camp to sign the draft picks. I think all these picks will come to camp hungry and ready to compete, and our increased team speed will help us do better than all the "experts" think.

I wouldn't be suprised if we will barely miss the playoffs, but i feel we'll have a winning record. And with our $70 mill payroll, we'll be in the best position when the new collective bargaining agreement is signed to upgrade where needed and be contenders for several years

I'm more curious to see which spot he plays more...LB or DE. I think this was a sleeper pick just like Edwards. Honestly I think in a couple years I think Norwood could become a Beason Jr

I asked him at OTAs earlier this month. He said LB, but they were going to move him around and "turn him loose" like they did at USC. I think the Panthers are replacing Peppers by committee-possibly creating a third down front seven, and I imagine the energy level on third downs will be intense.

Isn't he basically a smaller Everette Brown? I think Norwood does the most damage playin LB on the same side as Brown. They both have a motor so that could be a deadly combo for slow QB's
