There are some great beers in that list. I've had only 25. Better start drinking more.

You've got me by 5; I've only had 20. I had a serious let down moment as soon as the Bud popped up. I was anticipating the last few GREAT beers and then IT appeared. YUCK! That put a damper on it for me.

I do like #1 and I couldn't agree more!

I had a Rockers Bell Ringer and DFH 90 minute the other night. Dude, you have a sick beer budget. I can't bust out the $5.00+ beers but about twice a week.

I don't either, to be honest. And I'm cutting back, since I've got a kid on the way.

Usually I'll have one beer a night at home, but nothing crazy. Those other beers I had when I went out last night. That's definitely going to slow down with a kid on the way. Oh well, it's always cheaper to drink at home.

You can never go wrong with the 90-minute. That's one of my favorite DIPAs. Have you had their Squall yet? It's a dryhopped and bottle-conditioned 90-minute. Really good.

I haven't had the DFH Squall yet. I'll have to give it a try.

I usually go out once a week and have a few of the 'better' beers and then i also get a 'mix-six' at the beer store. Of course I get ones I haven't tried yet along with one or two I really enjoy.

I'm the same way. I didn't go out last week, so I splurged a bit last night.

I held off on the Mokah tonight, and right now I'm drinking a Duck Rabbit Rabid Duck. I've loved this beer in the past, but I think this bottle might be infected. It's a bit sour, with just a hint of coffee. Nothing like what I've had in the past.

I actually had a Bell's Expedition Stout go sour on me as well, and it tasted much like this.

Oh, and since you like Dogfish 90-minute, you should know that you can get single bottles of it at World Market for $1.89. This makes a four-pack just $7.56, whereas usually they go for $9.99. It's just $1.50, but why not save it if you can, right?

Forgive me if I've brought that up in this thread before. I really do love 90-minute and good beer deals, so I tell people quite a bit.

Nothing wrong with those choices at all. If you like Blue Moon, you might consider trying another Witbier. Hoegaarden is a pretty decent choice that can be found at most grocery stores. It's more expensive than Blue Moon, but it's a much better beer (again, I'm not knocking Blue Moon here). Allagash White is another very good Witbier.

Shocktop is very much like Blue Moon but better.

Living in Brooklyn, I have been exposed to some good stuff. My two favorites up here are Kelso Honey Nut Brown and Sixpoints Brownstone.

The Brownstone is like the best of my two favorites: Guiness and Newcastle. Very dark and rich but not quite as heavy as Guiness still refreshing like Newcastle.

The Kelso Honey Brown Nut is so very tasteful, so good. You will not find those down there as they are only available on tap.

I noticed a few mentioned New Belgium, I can't get that up here but Fat Tire is another one of my favorites. A little more "bitey" beer down there is from Greenville, SC called Kind. Like 7.2% alcohol, it delivers a nice punch. The abbreviation is KB, you can get them at Mac's and in select grocery stores and at Total Wine.45170.jpg

I'm not a huge fan of brown ales, though I do really like Sam Smith's Nut Brown Ale. Sierra Nevada has a brown ale called "Tumbler" that you'll see soon as their fall seasonal. You might like it.

I've seen the Kind beers at Total Wine, but never picked them up.

Anyone tried the Flemish Sour Ales?

Definitely an acquired taste, but i like them.

This is the latest ive tried.

I haven't tried any of them, though I want to. I've heard good things about the one you posted. The only sour beers I've had (if you can even call them that) are Ommegang Zuur and New Belgium Eric's Ale. It's definitely a style I'd like to try more of.

I'm enjoying a couple Sweetwater IPAs tonight. This is the first time I've tried this beer, having only tried the Sweetwater 420 in the past.

Their IPA is very good, especially for the price. Nice pine and grapefruit flavors from the hops, balanced by a nice, malty sweetness. Not much bitterness at all, but loads of hop flavor and aroma. I think this would be a great "gateway" IPA to those who might find the style too bitter, but I also think lovers of IPAs will be able to enjoy its balance. Really good stuff.

you should come down to atlanta and take a tour of the brewery. it's amazing. i love sweet water, and it's better because it's made here. one of the few good things ever to come out of the state of georgia.
