I went to a brewers meeting lady night and tried twenty different beers. Most were stouts. Czar and two different Yetis were the highlights. The club is called the Wort city brewers. It was a great couple of hours. I'll be joining up unless I move, in which case I will join the Worthawgs.

Last time I was home in Burlington, NC I got a sample box of Natty Greene's beer. I am more of a stout, porter, brown ale guy and this stuff is pale ale, witbier, amber ale, and golden ale. They have a brown ale, but it wasn't in the box. But it's still good. They also have an imperial stout and winter ale (seasonal) I'd like to try next time I'm in town.

Natty Greene's was started by a couple of NC guys fairly recently. It's always good to support local business. Give em a shot when you can.

Natty Greene's is named after Nathaniel Greene, a revolutionary war general and hero - also, Greensboro was named after him.

I'm going to go broke buying beer this month, as some of my favorites are being released. These include (but are not limited to) Founders KBS, Weyerbacher Heresy and Duck-Rabbit Rabid Duck.

If you're an imperial stout fan, you can't go wrong with any of these. The first two are aged in bourbon barrels.
