I dont know, just whatever other than heavy beers. Like I do not like the thick beers that are like drinking a milkshake. I am used to drinking light beer, but I also enjoy Heinken, Dos Equis Amber w/lime, Corona w/lime, Yengling, etc.

You might consider trying out some variety packs. Sam Adams beers are very good representations of their respective styles and are not so bold as to offend someone that's never tried them. If you have a Total Wine nearby, you might want to grab a Great Lakes variety pack (12-pack). All of their beers are great. Their porter is great. It is a dark beer, but I don't really think it's that thick. There is a misconception that all dark beers are like drinking motor oil, and this is just not the case.

As for your 60-minute IPA search, you should be able to find that at most decent grocery stores (and of course at the beer specialty stores like Brawley's, Common Market, Healthy Home Market, Vintner Wine Market -- man, there are a lot of markets).

Just started all-grain brewing.

Man, I'm jealous.

earthfare in ballantyne is the only place in town that I know of that carries Red Oak in bottles... delish.

I believe that Total Wine also carries Red Oak -- I might be wrong about that, though.

teeter is currently carrying the 90 minute IPA. they also have a Sam sampler containing Coastal Wheat, Black Lager and the Irish Red. All are very good. Another favorite they make is the Cherry Wheat which you can also get right now.

I just read that Maxwells Tavern in Waxhaw, is having an OMB night tomorrow evening. (Friday). They will have OMB's seasonal beer, Fruh Bock, on draft. I hear its a really good beer.

Free OMB glasses are being given away too when you order one.

They are the only place for the time being in all of Union County to offer this beer, and one of three places when you factor in Mecklenburg County as well.

Just a heads up if any of yous live that way.

Yep, and Ryan Self from OMB will be there. I've never actually met him, but I've talked to him quite a bit via e-mail and over at BeerAdvocate.com. Seems like a good guy!

I live in Monroe, though only about 10 minutes away from Waxhaw. I'd really like to check it out, but my wife is pregnant and ordered to stay off her feet this weekend so I'll be waiting on her hand and foot. :p

Been loving some Mendocino "Eye of the Hawk". That is some good shite.

LegHumpper, was another one I tried lately that was real good.

RedHook's "LongHammer" is an IPA that I enjoyed, and I am not a big fan of IPA's.

Tried Sam A's "Noble Hops", blechhhh.

Found a 6 pack of Pyramid's "Red Ale" tucked away in the far corners of the beer section of an Ingles 3 weeks ago. Yummm.

Mendocino is really good with every brew that I have tried. However, their "Black Hawk" is not so great, too much going on at once creates a poo storm. Just because 2 things are really good doesn't mean they are good together.

I been drinking whatever comes in front of me. As for you going home, it's one of the best trips home ever after sleeping in a crappy ass hospital couch for 2 nights with someone waking you up every hour. Speaking of which, any other dad sneak off to the store to grab a 24 while at the hospital and shotgun it before you went back?
