Thanks bb for getting me hooked to craft beers.

Hey, the beer got you hooked. I'm just your pusher. :p

That really is a damn fine list up there. The great thing is there are so many more excellent beers out there. It's a fun journey.

Nebraska Brewing Company Hop God Belgian IPA - if this is as rare as I'm being led to believe then get to Bestway in Greensboro. This IPA has all of the notes of an American triple hopped IPA without the jawlock bitterness. Nice citrus with a hint of peach for a touch of sweet, but what sends it over the top is it's aged 6 months in Chardoney barrels so is got an amazing oak buttery flavor.

It's a must try if you can get your hands on it.

I've seen that at my local bar/bottle shop. Sounds like I need to pick it up.

11th anniversary Old Rasputin - nuff said

I have one of these in my beer fridge right now. I'll probably open it in a week or so to celebrate the birth of my son. :)

Sipping on a double-shot of espresso right now, but I did have a few good beers this weekend.

Terrapin Wake 'n Bake: This one never gets old. If you like very coffee-forward beers, you need to seek this one out.

He'Brew Rejewvenator: This one's a doppelbock with concord grape juice added. To be honest, I didn't really care all that much for it. It wasn't bad, but I wouldn't really recommend it.

Petrus Oak-Aged Pale Ale: I am really getting into sour beers, and this one's a great intro for people like myself who are just trying these styles. It's got a nice, mouth-puckering sourness, and you also get some wood notes, as this was aged in oak barrels for 20 months.

Brooklyn Monster Ale (2007): I can't remember if I've mentioned this one on the forum or not. I love this beer fresh, but it's sublime with a few years on it. For some reason, NC retailers have received a lot of the 2007 vintage lately. It's great stuff, and very affordable (I got my six-packs for $7.99, which is what the newer four-packs go for).

Sounds good bb. I honestly leave sour things to lollipops and nerds but I've never tried any strong beers in the sour dept before. Anyways I'm going to another awesome bar here called the porter beer bar with and extensive beer menu. Any reccomendations would be helpful. Thx bud. http://www.theporterbeerbar.com/drink/beer/?postTabs=1

I didn't think I'd get into sour beers either, but I've really been enjoying them.

As for your list, wow, where to start. Seems like another bar where you really can't go wrong. They have a lot of Belgian beers that I know are highly-regarded, but that I've never had.

I don't know if you've had a saison yet, but the Brasserie Fantome is a great one, as is the Saison Dupont.

They have a lot of Cantillon lambics as well. Those are sour beers, so you may just want to give it a shot. I see they have many vintages of JW Lee's barleywines as well; those are some of the best of that style.

They have pretty much all of the Trappist breweries covered, it seems. Rochefort 8 or 10 would be great to try if you haven't already -- especially if you liked the St. Bernardus Abt. 12 (I seem to remember you saying you did).

Honestly, though, that beer menu is humbling. They have a lot of beers from Belgium and Italy that I've never had, and many that I've never heard of. I really don't think you can go wrong there. I'm a bit jealous -- if I ever come down to Atlanta, you've got to take me to this place!

Ya I saw it today and decided I'm going there. It sucks I dont live closer or I would have been there way sooner. One cool thing about their menu is they have links to beeradvocate for reviews on every beer. I'm getting excited just thinking about it. Once the baby is old enough and things calm down for u u have to come down.
