Have you tried Total Wine? Are you in Charlotte?

No, and yes :) I looked at Frugal McDougals. They had about 4-5 Bells there, including that stout you like.

Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout, North Coast Brewing, about $9 per four-pack: One of the brewing world's most celebrated stouts. Old Rasputin boasts plenty of everything - chocolate and coffee aroma, bready backbone and hoppy finish, but it pulls off the difficult task of being a big beer that's balanced and accessible to people who are new to dark beers.

Breakfast Stout, Founders Brewing, about $10 per four pack: Breakfast Stout has a more pronounced roastiness along with dark chocolate flavors and a strong coffee finish. A thick, creamy stout (and no, not for breakfast.)

Baltic Porter, The Duck-Rabbit Craft Brewery, about $12 per six pack: Our favorite North Carolina beer. This one grabs you by the collar from first sip to last with a complex blend of dark fruits and chocolate. It's very sweet and very malty, with an acidic finish. It'll be available later this month on shelves in Charlotte.

Bout to have sierra nevada celebration for the first time. Thought with the the weather it would be a perfect combo. Ill let u know.

About that -- it doesn't actually contain any winter spices, like some Holiday beers. It's just released around this time every year.

That being said, it's one of my favorites and I always buy at the very least a 12-pack when it's available. It's a dry-hopped IPA, so it will have a lot of hoppiness and a little bitterness (though I think it's very well balanced).

Let me know what you think about it!

Can the Rasputin beer predict how bad your hangover will be?

:P

That beer is great, one of my favorites. It really is the perfect cold weather beer. Lots of chocolate, roast and espresso flavor. And very warming.
