Did you have the smaller bottles or the big 22 oz. bottle? You've got to think: a 22 oz. bottle of a 10% beer is equivalent to about four regular beers, and you're consuming it much quicker.

I usually have around three 10% beers at my favorite bar, and that's too much for me. I'm by no means wasted, but I should really stick to two (unless I'm home).

Oh and Ive been sneaking in a Hop Rod Rye and Smuttynose Barleywine from time to time so its not like I'm totally dried out.

I was wondering when you were going to step off the wagon! Hop Rod Rye is a favorite of mine.

I've got Boulevard's Rye on Rye coming to me via a trade. It's a rye beer aged in rye whiskey barrels.

If you're within a 30 minute drive to Greensboro You've got to go to the Bestway at the corner of Walker and Elam. Hundreds of beers in every style imaginable and a very helpful staff.

Definitely from a glass! The kind of glass doesn't matter too much with stouts, but you should always enjoy beer in the appropriate glassware. You can barely smell your beer when it's in a bottle, and of course you can see the beautiful stuff either!

Sorry I haven't gotten that out yet, but I'll try to send it out soon. I was in Vegas for work this last week.

OMB makes some decent German-style beers. I want to try their new doppelbock. Only around 500 bottles were put out, but I think you can find them at the Total Wines as well as my favorite bar, Vintner Wine Market.

Queen City Red is by Charlotte's newest brewery, Four Friends. It's pretty decent stuff!
