If you call Miller Lite decent beer, then sure. I'm having to go the cheap route these days. When I am up to spending more, I like Dos Equis Amber with lime.

I hear you. I just drink a little less these days (even though I have stockpiled some awesome stuff).

It's hard to beat Dos Equis with lime and some good Mexican food. I actually enjoyed both of those a couple Sundays ago after the Panthers game.

i've been watching for the better beers at HT, and they are starting to trickle in. over the past couple weeks i've had two different Sam stouts. The Double Bock and the Imperial White. Very tasty and smooth.

Never had the Imperial White, but I love the Sam Adams Double Bock. That was the first doppelbock I ever had. If it were just a bit cheaper, I'd buy it more often.

yeah. 10 for a 4 pack. i've cut out other vices though so I was able to justify it.

wish i could give a description on the White like you do for others, but i'm not that in tune with my taste buds. like i said though. very tasty and smooth. i'd get it again.

Latest batch of homebrew just got completed and I'm drinking the first glass now. It's like a golden ale if you infused the taste of an ESB into it. It's good but honestly I wish I hadn't chilled it. It would be way better at just below room temperature.

I call it Bitter Digger. In other words Bitter Golden Ale.

It was my second attempt and though I like the taste of my first better I didn't carbonate it due to a funding oversight. Non-Carbonated beer is drinkable but it sure isn't what I want.

Stick with it, I'm sure you'll get it. I've got all the stuff to homebrew, but I promised my wife I'd finish remodeling the bedroom before I started brewing. Well, the bedroom is almost done. :)

What was the first beer you brewed?

i tell ya guys, im feeling so damn fat these days i almost feel guilty drinking the "fall" beers. I feel like somone should be shaming me on the way to the fridge. Ive got to go back to the gym.

I know what you mean. I could stand to lose 10 lbs or so. I'm actually trying to drink a little less; I may end up doing a "drink only on the weekends" thing, but on the other I'm a proponent of frequent yet moderate drinking.

Maybe I'll drink the same amount, and just start running or doing something.

I am having the first of many Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale's. It's a nice, hoppy IPA at a nice price point ($7.99, sometimes less). Celebration is Sierra Nevada's winter seasonal, but it's hitting the shelves early. I found it at Harris-Teeter.

I'm heading to a friend's house to do a little pumpkin beer tasting. I'm also going to make a pumpkin chili to go along with it.

Here's what we'll be having:

Dogfish Head Punkin Ale

Sam Adams Pumpkin Ale

Big Boss Harvest Time

Cottonwood Pumpkin Ale

Brooklyn Post Road Pumpkin Ale

Smuttynose Pumpkin Ale

Weyerbacher Imperial Pumpkin

:cheers2:
