Why are you flushing it down the toilet?

They travel in schools. A trick to catching them is to catch one. Then hook a line with a cork/bobber on it and throw it back. Follow it around fishing in the vicinity of the cork and you'll catch a lot of the school. When they quite biting, just simply pull the line back up to retrieve your original white perch.
