I would not be surprised to see Dallas grab him.

but f skeletor thinks he’s the answer, he will overpay for those 4 spots to get him. if jeanty or mcmillian are there at 8, some GM with a hard-on will give us a good deal to get their guy.

i can totally see teams wanting to leapfrog chicago, now that they have an offensive coach. either of these two would do well there.

Chicago better be focusing on OL.

I wouldn’t dismiss this as a possibility. Jeanty is going to be a special one and if he’s BPA at #8, in a deep defensive draft and multiple picks in the later rounds, I think this is an option they’d have to consider at least.

If Saquon Barkley was on the Giants last year, how many more games do you think they win?  Spoiler, 1 more game at most probably.  Elite running backs don't make bad teams good.  They push good teams over the top.

Brooks has torn his ACL twice and will probably sit out 2025.  He wont be the guy Carolina thought they were drafting for awhile, maybe never.  They can hope for the best but need to prepare for the worst.  They want that 2 punch attack at RB to make it easier on Young.  Jeanty is a special RB and would give Carolina something they dont have much of, speed.  A split backfield with him and Chubba would give defenses nightmares and open up the field for young to pass as defenses stack the line to stop the run.  Carolina needs to draft defense but the draft is loaded with defense this year especially in the later rounds.

It will be Tyler Warren, if he is still there. We are letting Thomas walk. If there are enough defensive players later in the draft, nothing opens an offense up like a transcendent talent at tight end.

I have no idea what kind of career he will carve out but we've spent a ton of money on the oline recently and as long as we continue to invest wisely there we should be able to plug in a mid round RB and keep it pushing.

It's been a tradition of mine in FF I ignore the name of the RB and draft them based on the oline. For years, Dallas was the elite line. Now it's Philly. It's been plug and play behind those lines. Investing those day 2 picks on the interior line allows you to take a day 3 RB and get day 2 results.

True.  But I would argue it's not that black and white.   There are other convos to be had.  We are also still in the mode of developing Bryce Young.  I like to consider this past year his actual rookie season.  Dude likely still has a long way to go.

Bryce Young needs special players around him.  If we ever want the O to be special.   Hubbard is a solid player but he isn't great.  Young needs a pass catching RB given his style.  He needs a TE.  He needs a WR that can take it to the house.  So it's not really the CMC add.  Who wasn't really natural add at all for Cam and that O.   .

We 100% need D.  But if Morgan does to our D front what he did to our OL last year.....I'll be on board w/ helping Bryce.  Which means WR/TE/RB.

    • Even if you ignore that Garrett wants to go to a contender, which in itself eliminates us.  There is no world where we can put a trade together for Garrett that doesn't include the #8 pick.
