thats even more in our favor IMO. they will be learning a new defense, while we have a year under our belt with our defense.

i honestly would take the panthers on this one even without the spread.

the only thing i am worried about is if we take a few games to get all of the youth to beleive in themselves as winners.

IDK..I think it will be a very tough game.We have too many question marks on defense now.

Im going to make some money on this one.

i said the same thing last year when we were favored against the eagles. i knew we were going to get crushed. we lost 38-10. i could have made a killing. it was the closest thing to a "sure thing" i saw all season.

week one is the best week to make big bucks. but not on this game. i expect us to lose this one in NY.

bingo! the same thing happened last year. it took time for the D to gel. now with a new DL, it will take time again, and, we're less talented on the DL as well.

There is absolutely no way the Panthers will beat the Giants.

Giants have Jacobs, who was able to torch us last season.

They also have the mighty Eli, the much more talented of the Manning brothers.

Their defense is also amazing, they destroyed our backup rb last year. Most of that unit will be returning.

The game is in NJ. A stadium that the Giants normally dominate the Panthers at. 41-9 last year. 23-0 in the '05 postseason.

The only thing I'm worried about is pressuring manning and matching the giants emotional intensity.

We both can run the ball for decent numbers on eachother, we both should be able to pass the ball as well with the giants being more assured of success.

Pressure will be huge, we can't pressure manning then we can't stop then on 3rd down. The defense falls apart.

Look at my older topic where I was voicing my concern about how pissed off they'll be. This a huge deal for them, they lose this game it's a black eye on their entire season.. think about what a kick in the balls it was last season with the cardinals and eagles.

One thing we have in our favor is that certain thing I won't mention. That should tilt the mojo in our favor.

Are you high? You just provided stats that go against your argument.

to close out there stadium like we did, than open the new one is going to be a tuff win. all that week the ny newspaper/media will be throwing this in there face, and they will use this to motivated them. i hope our team is ready for a fight, and john fox is ready because the giants will be coming after us the entire game.

I'm expecting onside kicks and flea flickers. Even worse, if they do get the best of us they're going to really pile it on. They need to get rid of the bad mojo.

If we lose it will most likely be because of our youth. It takes time for a young team to gel and it will be tough to get off to a good start in a hostile environment on the road. Also, don't be surprised if there are some puzzling ref calls going against us...the NFL will want the Giants to win this game. All that said, if we manage to come home with a victory it will be a huge testament to the character and leadership of our team.
