What difference does it make? If they decide to port it to the 360, that just means more FF fans will get to play it.

It means they will cut content from the game so the 360 version doesn't have 7 disks...I would rather have a complete game then another FFXIII....

All you have to do is a little googling to see that almost an entire game worth of content was cut from xiii once it was announced for the 360....

"The content was already running on actual PS3 hardware, it seems, but was left out due to considerations for game volume and overall game balanace."

Nowhere in there does it mention the 360 port. How you even came up with that assumption is beyond me.

The content was already running on PS3 hardware.....so the content was already running on PS3 hardware but was mysteriously removed.....hmm I wonder why, don't try and make it out like I want the 360 to fail or something........obviously if it was there in the PS3 version and then was taken out afterwards it had something to do with the 360 port......also the game would have come out several months earlier if it didn't need to be ported to the 360, thats another reason I would like for it to stay exclusive....also game volume means it was too long.....it certainly wasn't because of the BD rom because the game is around 38gigs and its on a 50gig blu-ray disc.....

Or, and please follow me on this, they decided that all the content in question was superfluous and wasn't needed. That seems more likely to me.

vsXIII is going to be an action-rpg; similar to Kingdom Hearts, but with a mature theme. They will be able to fit all the content needed to make it a complete and fulfilling experience onto a few xbox discs, if they choose to go that route.

It's the CGI that takes up all the space, and if you think for one second SE doesn't have a shitload of CGI in one of their games you are wrong. As for your other point that really doesn't make all that much sense, they wouldn't spend countless hours to create content only to cut it a few months later. All of the content that "wasn't needed" would have been cut during the storyboard phase. These cuts came long after the storyboard phase since the article says the content was running on the PS3 before it was cut. You don't spend millions to design content and then cut it.......

I'm taking the CGI into account when I say they could fit it on the 360 if they choose to do so.

As for your other statement. Why do movies spend countless hours and money filming scenes they don't use? Because sometimes you don't realize until later that some content just doesn't jive with the rest of it and your overall vision.

Bottom line, SE would be better served if they released it on the 360 as well, and so would the fans who don't have a PS3 like myself. I've been a Sony advocate since the original PS. I just couldn't afford $600 for a console when the PS3 came out, so I got an Xbox 360 instead. Now that Sony has dropped the price to what it should have been in the first place, I will be getting one this year.

The reason the PS3 was 600 to begin with was because the thing cost 800 to make originally.....and sorry I don't by that content was running on the PS3 and then after it was announced the game was being ported it got cut.....guess what most of the gaming public doesn't either, just check some message boards.....
