IGN walked away impressed with the Golden Eye Remake for the WII.

http://wii.ign.com/articles/109/1097593p1.html

GoldenEye 007 looks pretty darn excellent, with a solid and smooth framerate and some slick environment effects. The game has full voice acting, as Activision has recruited the assistance of Daniel Craig and Judi Dench to provide voice over for this original script.

While the game is a completely original take on GoldenEye, there are a few nods to the classic Nintendo 64 game. The game starts in a third person camera but swoops in behind Bond just before players take control. The game trailer shows the dive off the dam and a drop-down into a bathroom. But the "Klobb" gun (presumably named after the N64 game's producer Ken Lobb) has been renamed the "klebb", but the official line is that the gun is named after a James Bond villain – and wouldn't you know it, Wikipedia comes through.

GoldenEye 007 still has a ways to go before its November 2010 release, but even now in its early E3 debut the game's looking hot. We'll have more on the game in the coming months, as it's easily one of the more promising third party Wii games at the show.

article on the new Zelda

Luckily, the game works. The Wii MotionPlus definitely helps with Link's ability to slice and stab with 1:1 precision. It took a bit to get used to the "shield on nunchuk" control because you had to whip the nunchuk to bring it out, but tap a button to put it away – whipping the nunchuk while the shield's out does a shove move that deflects projectiles back to their source.

Also it was Infrared interference from the audience.

interesting 3ds game.

http://ds.ign.com/articles/109/1098401p1.html

Hey all you sweet 3DS games at E3 2010, which one of you is about frickin dinosaurs trying to murder each other? Oh, it's you, Battle of Giants: Dinosaur Strike? Move aside, Animal Crossing!

Remember the Battle of Giants series, kids? Well it's back, in 3D! For the E3 demo I got to play a t-rex, stomping through the jungle, looking for something to eat. Unlike the previous top-down Battle of Giants game, Dinosaur Strike puts the camera behind the dinosaur, turning the game into a fully 3D adventure game.

IGN's hands on with the 3ds.

http://ds.ign.com/articles/109/1098014p1.html

I just got out of Nintendo's Media Summit where I played Nintendo's 3DS for the first time. I've been gaming on handhelds for pretty much 20 years now, and this is the first time in a long time I said "holy crap" after experiencing a portal system. Nintendo's keeping much about the system under wraps, but I got a chance to hold the system and play around with timed demos to check out the stereoscopic 3D display and how it could affect gaming as we know it.

First of all, the system itself is a natural evolution of the Nintendo DSi system. It feels nice in the hands. It has a large analog stick for the left thumb that slides in circular fashion – far superior than any of the options Sony's offered on its PSP system.

But it's the 3D display. Holy crap.

Trust me, you really have to see this thing in person to understand why I'm incredibly impressed. Nintendo is using an LCD technology that sends each eye an independent image that the brain merges together, and the effect adds depth. A lot of depth. The effect is immediately obvious, yet seems so natural. And there are multiple sweet spots, so you don't have to awkwardly hold the system in a position that doesn't feel comfortable. If you twist the system you'll get double images and lose the 3D, but it's simple to keep the stereoscopic effect within view.

The first system I played had the trailer for Legends of the Guardians, the upcoming owl movie from Warner Bros. I've seen this played in front of Alice in Wonderland, in 3D, and the depth effect on the 3DS screen is just as pronounced as the RealD version I saw in theaters. The same can be said for the How to Train Your Dragon and Disney's Tangled: fantastic video quality and excellent 3D depth.

The Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater demo is an absolutely fantastic showcase of the 3DS system's capability. It's interactive in the sense that players can rotate the camera all around the action, but it's all being played out by the system. It looked pretty much as good as the PS2 version of the game, with some pretty spectacular 3D effects.

GOW3 beast mode...

Gears of War 3 has a very exciting new online mode, revealed for the first time at E3 2010. Building on the success of Horde mode, Beast mode is an arena-style battle where you try and kill off waves of enemies. The catch? You play as the Locust, killing COGs. Epic is going all out with this--it's not just you playing as wretches. You're going to be playing as a lot of different Locust, from Tickers to Cantus Priest's to Berserkers. It's going to be insane.
