OT: Soccer noise

OK - this is off topic.

Does anyone know what that constant whining noise is that sounds like New Year's Eve noisemankers that plays constantly during soccer games?

I'm really trying to give this World Cup a chance, but that noise irritates the hell out of me.

If they want regular people to watch those games, they'd figure out a way to block out that noise, don't you think?

its soccer, its all apart of the game, they wont change a simple thing like a horn for anything.. soccer is the onlky sport i can think of where they dont change the rules every year or at all. soccer is the most natural sport

I thought south Africa was just infested with hornets. The horn theory makes more sense though. Twas nice to see underdog USA stick it to England though, albeit boring, it was a nice moral victory for us in a sport we have no business playing!!! Quick, name five MLS teams!!!

Amen. I tried to be open minded about soccer and watch some of that U.S vs England game, but I could only stand about 5 minutes of that garbage. Oh well, I gave it a shot.
