Protesters line up outside Cotswald BP station

I am actually surprised it took this long. This station is right around the corner from me. If you ever listen to WFNZ Sports Radio, it's Jim Celenia is always taking this place up.

Ron Rybacki said he had more gas sales Saturday that he usually does for a weekend, and he said the protesters are the reason.

What's he going to say? "Yea, my sales were down, the protesters have hurt my business. That would be playing to the protesters hands.

I never buy BP or Shell gas anyway, so they have nothing to worry from me.

I'd have lied my ass off before admitting it was BP fuel. Tried the "independent station owner" line.

Not like Shell and Texaco are any better though, in fact, they're probably worse. Thankfully I have a Gate near me.

hard to do with all the green pain and a big BP out front.

saw that on the news last night, my wife goes there sometimes because its full service (wtf is she paying for that?)

she said she was going to give them some business.

Even if it is pointless to not gas up at a BP station, I still wouldn't feel right going there for gas. I don't have a BP around me anyway. But if there is BP at one corner and Shell at the other. I'm going to Shell. Even if it is 10 cents more expensive.

I would just feel dirty gassing up at a BP.

Yea, let's protest small business owners. I'm sure BP would be so hurt if that guy stopped selling their gas. That would show them! What a joke.

Exactly.

But Rybacki’s supporters said protesters are missing the point. BP doesn’t own the gas station at the corner of Randolph Road and N. Sharon Amity – Rybacki does, and boycotting the gas station hurts Rybacki more than it hurts BP.
