There was an article in Newsweek or US News, one of the magazines, how more and more employers are checking out the perspective empolyees on the internet. From searching their name to searching Facebook, My Space & Twitter to see if there are any red flags before they hire them.

It's not a bad idea to search your own name from time to time and see what's out there. You would be suprised. When I was in real estate, I did a search on my name and some p0rno site came up. It was an old MSN group that some guy (not me) was posting porn all over it! I got on-line and quit all the MSN groups! You don't want future clients seeing that!

Or, if you are Micheal Phelps, you don't want to see yourself on Facebook smoking a bong!!

i have two fb accounts. one for work and one for personal...considering deleting both.

Even what you post on message boards such as this one wil show up if you search on your name. (You registered under your name, even though you use a User name.)

There are old networking sites I have been on for years that show up!
