I hate robocop. The whole entire movie is dark and dreary. The you add in the shitty 80's era production. If you haven't seen it don't watch it. It's well known but not because it's a good movie.

Taken is probaably the best action movie I've seen in a while. Very underated movie. Nonstop ass kicking, about 25 mins devoted to story.

Public enemies isn't really pure action but the gun play is well done.

Saving private ryan is again not really action. It's meant to be watched in a more reverant setting but it will still keep your pulse up.

Ronin is great.

Jackie Chan movies from his earlier days are stunning in the quality of stunts and the choreography.

One movie I insist you should see is Duel. It's just a never ending carchase. It put speilburg on the map.

Generally though you're going to want to look at the Die Hards, and the Arnie flicks in the 80s/90s.
