how badly I would love to see a Holland/Germany final....but man, I'm not sure I want to go up against the Germans...they look pretty damn good right now!

Spain vs Holland will present a conundrum for me, but I think it would be the best match with two overdue teams playing for glory.

I don't think there is any stopping Germany's attack. Spain needs to score early and try to play keep away.

Germany's attack is impressive, but it's been helped by the fact teams like Australia and Argentina completely forgot how to stop anyone inside the box.

They can be slowed if not stopped with a disciplined defense.

Plus Spain is much less susceptible to counter-attacks than Argentina was. Spain is more than happy to let Villa-Torres work up top and Iniesta and Fabreagas/Busquets play support. Xavi Alonso and and Xabi will fall back to deep midfield on everything except corners, so Spain will have at least 6 guys back at almost all times.

Germany is going to really need to expose the flanks to get the ball into space against Spain's back 4. Should be a really great game.

I don't think Holland will have any issue with Uruguay, especially with Suarez being out.

I expect Germany to do with Villa what they did with Messi. Almost an odd triple team zone defense. They would rotate guys over near him and as soon as he got the ball he is facing a wall.

So if Torres, plays, he will have to take almost all the pressure off of Villa. Villa will NOT be allowed to roam free or get cheapies like he has the last two matches.

Let's say the counter attacks are a wash. That leaves set pieces. Ok....that's what I thought.

Holland catches a huge break with no Suarez. I love the one two punch of Suarez/Floran.

But anybody but Uruguay winning would sit well with me. Always been a huge fan of Holland(only national jersey I own btw) and of course Germany and Spain due to family/friends from there and now back living in Madrid.

I've been a Dutch soccer fan my whole life with my parents immigrating from there the year before I was born. There have been so many heart break years that I could care less at this point if every starting player for Germany/Spain was injured or out on red cards for the final if Holland beats Uraguay!!!!!!

i think its Holland who have to push that bit ahrder than everybody else to Win the World cup and have everybody fighting fit

I don't think we have seen the best of the dutch just yet...I think, and hope, they have the ability to kick it up a notch! Will be interesting to see what their defense is like today though with 2 starters out on suspension and one injured. Van Persie needs to do more in my opinion as well.
