Someone please explain the subbing rules in soccer to me... I don't get it...

As far as the calls go, there were some iffy ones both ways, but the officiating was fine IMO... certainly didn't cost us the game. Just like in football and basketball, anytime you've got subjective calls on fouls, you'll have questions...

The subbing rule exist solely to punish you for starting Clark and Findley.

Supposedly it's three, but as long as I have been watching soccer, I only see two. Maybe they keep that one in case of ot I don't know.

I personally don't think enough teams utilize subs properly. Even at the Cup level.

Probably keep the 3rd in case of emergency. Reminds me of in NHL hockey you get 1 timeout. A lot of teams go the whole game and never use it.

100% yes, it is 3 subs per side per game....no extras allotted for overtime etc. And if it goes to kicks, you have to use one of the 11 that were on the field at the end of the game.
