Time wasting is sport. Ghana won fair and square.

play clock in football and shot clock in basketball. soccer needs time limits on length of time for things like kicking out of goal, corner kicks and throw ins. and also the clock should stop if someone bruises their ass.

Rediculous, they wasted more than 3 minutes, definitely. This is just so Africa keeps a team in the Cup, lol. Hope they lose next time.

Yep it's a conspiracy. That's the only possible way you'd lose to a team like Ghana.

That's true I guess. I mean, imagine if in football teams were able to take advantage of a rule that allowed a QB to go down on one knee and let the clock run for almost a minute.

The game would never be the same!

Good game by Ghana, poor defending by the U.S. early on. We had a good run, if it wasn't Ghana this week it was probably going to be Uruguay next week.

But now that the U.S. is no longer in it, I'm so amped for tomorrow because...

Yup, I hate rooting for another team other than the US, but I am German, and it's all about them now!!!!

Yeah, but thats different. The QB isn't trying to bullshit his way through an injury.

Plus, I don't think anyone would complain if the kneel was disallowed in the NFL.

      Respectfully, I completely disagree. Last year we were:  32nd in Sacks. 32nd in Turnovers.  32nd in Rushing TDs allowed  29th in Scoring.  We were absolutely atrocious on defense last year and that was with a full stable of weapons in Derek Brown, Frankie Luvu and Brian Burns that played all 17 games.  Using yards per game as a metric to guage our success lacks the context that because our offense was so inept teams were not driving the length of the field, they were starting at their 40-50 yard line.  This year, our Defense ranks:  31st in Sacks. Tied for 19th in Turnovers  31st in Rushing TDs allowed 32nd in Scoring  His defense fails to get pressure, fails to turn the ball over and fails to stop the run. Three things you absolutely have to do to be successful in the NFL.  Denver meanwhile has not missed a beat without him.  If another team wants to hire him as a HC and the Panthers get two 3rds for it I'll wish him the best and pack his bags myself.
