World Cup is here

We need to beat Algeria first and foremost. If England defeats Algeria, we need them to beat Slovenia as well. If England and Algeria draw, it comes down to goal differentials.

Yes if you win by at least two goals you are through.

Reason:

England will win the late game today so:

England 4 pts

Slovenia 4 pt

USA 2 pts

Algeria 0 pts

USA will have an even score at 3-3 and Slovenia is 3-2 the only why the score is going to be important is if Slovenia is drawing against England ( I doubt it ) and therefore Slovenia will be plus 1 in score. If US win with two they will be plus 2.

It was a bad call. Period.

This ref was atrocious all game. That card on Findley was even fuging worse.

We can't blame this game on the ref though. We shoulda blown this team outta the water.

Great fuging comeback, best game of the Cup, on to the next.

And for the record yes, I watch football outside of the Cup, as you see in my sig.

WE GOT ROBBED!! And if anybody didn't see that, they are blind!!That was bogus,2 of our players were being held and J Altidore(sp) still managed to kick it in and he was NOT offsides! The stupid ref called it the other way against the US,go figure:mad:!Why are refs always making calls against the US?That was a great comeback, but I guess the ref came to Slovanias' defense!

Do you guys actually watch football outside of the World Cup?

The referee saw something pre-free kick and was blowing his whistle regardless of what the result of the free kick was. It happens all the time.

Maybe the ref is colorblind,I saw 2 American players being held, and Altidore was NOT,I repeat,NOT offsides. That ref should be FIRED for making that bad of a call, was he getting paid to influence the game?!That 1 call will probably keep the US from going to the next round!

You guys got robbed...

The Danish commentary is in shock here.

But you have the easiest opponent in the last round ans Slovenia is going against England so I pray for you.

Cheers from a Danish dude who is nervous about our game tomorrow

Thank you for being observant,I hope you guys beat your opponent!

If it wasn't for that bad call,it would be and England wins: England 4 pts US ; US 4pts ; Slovenia 3 pts ; Algeria o

Telegraph: "Well, there was no foul. Bradley, Altidore and Dempsey were being held in bear-hugs. The ball broke to Edu and he buried it. Goal USA.. But when a ref gets an idea in his head he tends to stick with it. All night if things got scrappy in the box, he went to the whistle. With a goal hinging on it he was unlikely to break the habit. "

Soccernet: "Terrible call. Terrible terrible terrible call."

Guardian: "Donovan curled a freekick from the right into the packed box. Edu met it on the volley and blasted in from close range! But the referee's whistle had already gone so it won't count. Quite why the referee's whistle had gone is not clear - there was no offside and the only fouls being perpetrated were by Slovenians holding on to assorted American jerseys. Mystifying decision."

David Moyes: ""I've just seen that disallowed goal for the US again - and not only was there no foul by a US player, there are probably two penalty-kick offences being committed by the Slovenian defenders. Shocking decision."
