IMO if there was a team that could do it... this Spain team would be up there. SOOOOOOOOOOOOO much talent. They just need to find the net.

I saw a little bit of the game in the 1st half, and wouldn't have been surprised if it were a tie. All Spain did was pass. No moving, just passing.

But they lost! haha.

They rested Torres because he is still recovering from surgery. They didn't feel like they needed to risk him against the Swiss. Clearly they were wrong, but their intentions weren't.

I just went home for a late lunch and watched the second half. The Swiss midfield was nonexistent. I mean completely absent. Spain brought the ball into their attacking third with absolutely no resistance. This should have been a blowout. So far, the story of this World Cup is the inability of the world's finest players to finish a damn strike.
