Stephen King once said that zombies were the ultimate Liberal nightmare: there they are, the people so needy, and you want to help, but all they want to do is eat your brains. The vampire, on the other hand, is the ultimate conservative nightmare: wealth, power and it just wants your blood and virgin daughter.
