HOW was TD allowed to practice?

Does anyone know the process of how someone with a major injury that puts you on IR returns to practice? I'm assuming the medical staff cleared him to practice, is that normal for a player to be cleared this early? A guy like Jonathan Stewart never practices despite having never gone on IR, yet Thomas Davis is cutting and backpedaling in practice in early June? Why?

Get ready for the mob as they try to tell you that you don't know sh** despite that its been known that it usually takes a good 9 months to recover from a ACL tear that requires surgery. My guess is Davis played off some of the pain to the docs and they believed him. Davis was really eager to come back and play and I think he rushed it a little too much. Still, its the coaches responsiblity to handle these sort of things. He JUST had this injury in November. I can still remember what I was doing on Thanksgiving like it was yesterday. I believe he shouldve been kept resting until AT LEAST training camp or beginning to mid August. Just because he's an athlete doesn't mean his tendons are made of steel.

I agree KK. I mean, it's not like he's a rookie or second-year player that really needs to learn the really core stuff out there. He's Thomas f'ing Davis man, he knows what he's doing out on a football field. Hop on the stationary bike during practice if you really want to be out there. That this could happen in early June is mindboggling.

I'm just sitting here in disbelief tonight. Jonathan Stewart has practiced what, less than a quarter of the practices he could have practiced in since he got here and he's able to go out there on Sundays and dominate. And yet here's another guy that plays at a Pro Bowl level out there cutting and backpedaling in an optional early June workout 6 months after an ACL tear. That this could happen Makes. No. Sense.
