Have you experienced anything unexplainable/supernatural?

We were all out at the pool after my grandmother funeral.... my two little nieces said they saw and spoke with her. weird.

My good friends mom just died. Everyone is telling him she is visiting them in dreams and in person. He is really bummed out that she hasn't come to see him.

Really pisses me off if they are lying.

I think there might be "spirits" or presences that stick around after we die. My little story is that my ex's grandfather passed away when my son was about 3. He was called Pop Pop. Months later, I'm taking my son home from daycare and I'm asking him about his day. He's blabbing something and then he suddenly says "Pop Pop talks to me". I freak. "What?" "Pop Pop talks to me". I really freak. I asked him what does Pop Pop say but he just babbled a three year old babble. Story still makes my hairs stand up when I tell it.

The "ghost" that my wife swears that I saw with her was my Pop-Pop also. Maybe Pop-Pop's are the gatekeepers to the other side? That would be awesome cause I am going to have my grandkids call me Pop Pop also.

Did you already know that scripture? Do you think you brought it to your own memory and maybe the voice was a late at night lacking sleep type thing? Just curious how firmly you believe someone spoke that scripture to you out loud. Not picking on you at ALL! You know i respect you so i really want to hear you opinion.

Nope... never read Galatians until that next day... and never heard a preacher preach about it either, from as best I could remember, growing up...

The skeptic in me wants to believe it was something I generated from a past sub-concious memory in an "I need sleep" moment...

The realist in me says that I heard a voice, at least if it was only in my head, that I have never heard before or since, say that exact thing... So much so that I was checking the room and looking out the window after I heard it...

Yep it would piss me off too. I was thinking they were going all Salem Witch trials but they have never seen anything before or come up with anything that zany since.

Save the drama for yo' mama... Everything I typed there was true as hell, and no, I still don't believe in a Biblical "God" but moreso something like the Force... (I am a Jedi afterall)...

Dude, how did that thread not get more responses? That was a great read; I really enjoyed it.

We've debated on here about religion quite a bit, but after reading that I really think you and I have more in common. I, too, was embittered with organized religion at an early age and turned away from it. Yet I've always felt part of a bigger whole, and -- though it's such a cop-out in this day and age -- I consider myself to be a spiritual person.

The only difference is that I've been going to church pretty regularly with my wife (previously my girlfriend) for the last three years or so, and I've actually met some very good people. Christians who actually follow the teachings of Christ. Sure, there are some of your typical hypocrites, but you'll find them in any possible belief system you can imagine.

I think it's pretty amazing that you received a direct answer to your prayer. I pray pretty regularly, but never have I "heard" a response. There have been times when I pray and that prayer is answered in a pretty astonishing way, but I've never felt like I had communicated.

Anyway, just wanted to say I enjoyed that post. Now back to talking about real ghosts.

My grandmother said I was constantly seeing people when I was younger. I saw Native Americans walking across our land in Waxhaw, and I also saw a little boy in the yard.

My grandmother, herself quite clairvoyant, told me she had seen him, too, and our descriptions of him were the same.

I do think children are more receptive to such things before they are confined to the rational and logical world.

Oh also the gf's neighbor has been tormented by a some sort of enitity and down the road her friends sold a house to some people. They called a few months later in the middle of remodeling to ask if they ever had experienced anything? Crazy fugging street! lol

Where do you think ghosts come from?

Serious question. There's the theory that many people who die violently become ghosts, and maybe there's something to that. Who knows?

come from? I believe God.I just dont believe in ghost like former human people type of thing.

what do you think?

I want to go to one of these houses where this poo supposedly happens all the time and see it myself... I want to fug with the ghosts...

Well our house is right outside of Pikeville. I could probably make it happen. I haven't been in that house in 15 years. You probably know, or have heard of, the guy who rents it. He's in a very popular band.

Funny, me and my friend have discussed it over the years. I think there were two entities in the house; one scary, and the other my granny. From the day we moved in, strange things happened even before my granny died. I don't think my granny is still there, no reason for her to be. But the other is there.

My granny gets around, cause she's been seen in the house my mom lives in now. It's the farm house my granny's father built.
