Rotoworld reported that Beason was playing weakside in practice and Connor was playing MLB, with Anderson at the other spot. I bet this is the way it goes.

My prediction is that Beason is still going to be our Mike and Jamar Williams and James Anderson will be the Sam and Will though I'm not sure which will be which.

Didn't Jamar Williams play weakside for the Bears? I think Williams will take Thomas' spot. I like the Beason switching idea, but at the same time...I think we need Beason in the middle.

It would not surprise me at all that conner could play the mike better than any of our younger guys could play outside. Conner in the middle with beason and whomever ends up winning the other spot.

I'd have Anderson playing the Sam because that's where he's been to this point in OTA's. The better overall linebacker needs to be playing the Sam, especially since Meeks' defense practically is designed to make the Will get a lot of tackling opportunities. Anybody remember Cato June? Beast under Meeks, and dropped off quickly once he left. If Anderson has the coverage skills to play the Sam, keep him over there.

I'm fine with them potentially moving Beason out to Will, he's a good fit at that spot and Connor has the tools to play Mike in this defense. The bigger question would be who starts at Sam and I'm not really sure on that one.

Just make Beason play both LB positions. Actually, why not make him play all three. He's that damn good.
