Thomas Davis will be GREATLY missed on the D if he is out, but having guys go out for the season before TC starts is 1,000x better than having them play 4 games and then go out for the year IMO. Running with the first team D during OTA's, TC and Preseason will be invaluable to whoever fills his spot. So that is, in some really shitty way, a positive silver lining.

wheres your "reliable source" ? Im pretty sure that if Thomas Davis, being one of the better players on our defense, this would be over Charlotte Observer, even some of the major sources such as ESPN or SI would have covered this.
