how high would we have had to move up? would it be worth auctioning off our whole draft for an olb?

While I am okay with how our draft panned out, having Sean Weatherspoon right now could be way more of an impact of having Jimmy Clausen (probably won't see the field unless Moore flops), Armanti Edwards (could be the steal of the draft, but is still in competition for PT with our 3rd and 4th WRs), and Brandon LaFell (competition for PT with #2 and #3 WRs)...

We would have had to give up a lot to move up there and snag him, but IMO it would have paid more dividends at this point in the offseason...

I'll keep the faith in Meeks to get the guys ready, and I hope they are...

With Diggs, Peppers, Lewis, and Thomas all seeing considerable amount of PT and attention...

Tell me, how have we replaced ANY of those guys...

You are basing your optimism on the potential success of unproven guys to replace proven guys...

I'm basing my realism on the recognition that there are unknown variables, and in the case of unknown variables, it is better to be safe than sorry... (as will be indicated by our lack of depth and talent at LB if Davis is done and we don't bring someone else in)...

linebackers in meeks system at Indy were easily replaceable and a dime a dozen.

not saying we're exactly the same.... but, just look at a similar scheme with Meeks in charge OLB was NBD.

guys like cato june left and you never heard about them again. now add the fact that james anderson came in and played with little drop off in numbers. and in a year that TD was supposedly at his best ever....
