Davis...The News...Heard Here 1st...

its not

Yes, I could find nothing even mentioning it today...

A re-torn ACL..no, but the injury itself is what I meant.

Oh... be more clear. :D

For the record, I don't know if anyone has watched the video of James Anderson panthers.com but one reporter asked him on the status of Davis and Anderson said that he is fine and that all it was that he turned weird causing some discomfort but he should be fine...

Then again, what does Anderson know right?

Phew... that's a good sign... I hope...

We're gonna get Vernon Gholston from the Jets for a conditional pick. You heard it here first. If it doesn't happen, I will let this thread slowly fade away into the sunset. But if it does, I will be linking threads 6 months from now to this one, thus cementing my place in Huddle history. :D

the diagnosis based on physical exams performed by 2 doctors and a read of MRI is a partial tear. There is always a measure of inconclusiveness and the only way to establish medical certainty is through surgery, which involves rehabilitation and inactivity even if no repair is needed. The patient seeks the greatest degree of certainty reasonably available before electing a procedure. Second read of MRI.

He is currently seeking a second opinion. So you know the first opinion was not a good one. I would seek a second opinion as well if someone told me I just ended my football career. Two ACL tears on the same knee. A comeback from that playing LB would be a story line for a Rocky movie.

Actually recovering from two ACL tears is not harder than recovering from one. They use cadaver ACLs to replace them unlike when I had it done and they used part of my patellar tendon. Shouldn't be that much worse to redo it and he should recover in about a year. I said that he was coming back too early and that running a sprint had little to do with whether he could cut or move laterally. Hate ot be right in this case. When we got rid of so many veterans I said that this could work if we don't have any serious injuries. So much for that and it isn't even training camp.

Until there is a confirmed report, there is no reason to think he tore it again.

If he tore it, he wouldn't have been walking off not only under his own power, but without a limp.

Nothing about what we've read, makes it sound serious.

As with any starter who is coming back from injury, if he tweaks it, they are going to take him out of the rest of OTA's, as there is no reason to risk him further.
