Who's kicking off now that Rhys is gone?

Todd Carter will be cut, Aaron Pettrey will kick off, and take over when Kasay retires.

Great idea for a new thread, who should do kickoffs for the Panthers this year. Kasay, Carter, or Pettrey.

Now in all seriousness, I don't see that happening Pettrey is like Kasay he is a good field goal kicker but he does not have the leg to do kickoffs.

We should have just paid Rhys and when Kasay retired let Lloyd take over kickoff duties. He was more than capable of doing kickoffs. During warmups he would be hitting the mark from about 63 yards. Now I know that is without guys trying to block your kicks, but I believe he would have been reliable up to 55 yards.

Don't understand how Pettrey has the higher average, but Carter dominates the touchbacks. Will be good competition although the touchbacks might give Carter the job.

Does college kick from the same spot the NFL does?
